Miss Trudy Velvet and Liquid Sunshine

After arriving in a VW microbus in the 1960's, Liquid Sunshine and Miss Trudy Velvet provided an element of "Cool" that the A&R Ranch lacked. Setting up housekeeping on an adjoining property in a Lustron home they had shipped to them, Liquid and Trudy made the "House of Steel" the "in" place to be, so much so that Nick Java gravitated to the place whenever he could, dragging little Woody Roamer with him.

Miss Trudy Velvet

If there were ever a living example of modern living, it was Miss Trudy Velvet. She brought a modern art sensibility to the show. As a sultry lounge singer she brought a lot of temptation to the A&R Ranch and allegedly had affairs with both Art Roamer and Bob Broley although it was never proven. She was known to do beat poetry pieces about Art Roamer and show off her latest design triumphs in the decor of the "House of Steel".

Liquid Sunshine

Liquid Sunshine never quite left the 1960's. He could never stand to get a straight job so he instead became an advertising spokeman on ARTV. "Like man, they pay me" is how he explained it. Besides his advertising role, he was known for his randomly worded editorials where he talked about everything under the sun including the sun. He has always strongly denied any connection between his name and the nickname of the anti-depressant drug Prozac. In fact he maintains that the name was stolen.

Liquid and Trudy were collaborators on many creative projects and were, in fact, very talented in film production. Their most famous film was the award winning "Tru Velvet" which startled and captivated both the film community and film critics around the world.
