Sponsors, Spokespeople, Commentators, and Blowhards

C.K. Wilson

As the founder of the Wilson Hanger Company, Mr. C.K. Wilson also served as a spokesman for the product. The Wilson Hanger Company served as a faithful sponsor of Art Roamer and the many variations of the ads for this product showed conclusively how "a hanger was meant to be". As president of the company, he was instrumental in acquiring, over the objections of his board of directors, the services of Liquid Sunshine and Trudy Velvet as advertising spokespeople.

Colonel "Popeye" Howard

When severely wounded during a scuffle at an off-base brothel, Col. Howard earned his nickname of "Popeye". There was much that irritated him as a "by the book" military man. What most irritated him were "Fat Heads", especially the kind who arrived late at movie theaters or coughed during the show. He developed many maneuvers based on military strategy for dealing with them, most notorious being the famous "Milk Dud" bombing maneuver. He loved living the military life and barking orders to everyone in sight.

J.B. Haulingsway

As president of the Cornie Cacti Cereal Company and one of the lead sponsors of the show, J.B. Haulingsway bought his own spot on the show where he talked about anything that happened to be on his mind. It quite often wasn't very much, although he used a lot of words to say it. One of his big embarrassments on the show was being caught on camera doing strange things with finger puppets. Because of this, he lost his influence on the show to the other chief sponsor and benefactor, C.K. Wilson of the Wilson Hanger Company.

Jerry Slacker

Another steady sponsor of the show was the hyperkinetic Jerry Slacker whose car lot full of "Sixty-One Sixties" and "Big Buick Boat Beauties" often stole the show. Slacker made a name for himself as not only a Buick dealer but as a dealer who only sold 1960 models. When Bob Broley alienated himself from Art Roamer with his tantrums involving Woody, it was Slacker who insisted on keeping Broley at ARTV.

Mikey

As a child actor, Mikey was featured in the Life Cereal commercials made memorable by the phrase "Look! Mikey likes it!". In his adult years Mikey had struggled with hard times until he was spotted by Buzzy Cookman at a downtown Los Angeles soup kitchen where Buzzy was promoting his cookbook. Brought to the ARTV television studios, he was offered the chance to promote Cornie Cacti Cereal, a chance which he jumped at, being really tired of soup. He was on the show only a short time when he got offered a better role on a Brazilian daytime soap opera.

Universal Wilson Tech Guy

During late breaking announcements regarding the where-abouts of Art Roamer, the Universal Wilson Tech Guy finally got his big chance at fame. His first opportunity had been during the awards ceremony at The Academy Awards during which Art Roamer abruptly absconded with an Oscar, assisted by the quick-witted Miss Trudy Velvet and the dim-witted Buzzy Cookman. He also appeared in numerous Wilson Tech television ads.
